Sculpture
André Stead’s approach to the figurative narrative focuses on perception and the human experience. His work has an ethereal quality that hints at a deeper connection between the physical and non-physical aspects of the human condition. The figures, although rooted in naturalism, are often simplified and distorted to enhance the intent of the artwork and shift the focus on a particular quality. The sculptures are expressions of real human experiences that most people go through and remind us of the great diversity of circumstances we face and how those experiences shape us.
